We are lucky enough to have a friend, John Whiting, who is a tram driver. One early August morning we drove to Bendigo Tram Depot to record Station.
The depot also doubles as a tram museum and we had to get our recording done before opening hours. With the hard work for the day over by 10am, the rest of the day was spent riding trams and dinging bells. We were like kids in a candy store.
I discovered this trio via one of its members' side project called Oliver White; and I felt in love with the singer's voice instantly. Along with the right amount of minimalism and complexity, the album is beautiful and heartfelt. j
